We are pleased to announce that Courtney Beamon has been selected to serve as the firm’s President. Courtney will oversee operations across the company’s eight offices. Charlie Lamb will remain as Chairman of the Board and will serve as the Chief Executive Officer. As C.E.O., Charlie will be responsible for vision, strategy and culture of the company.
We are excited that Courtney has accepted this leadership position and believe it will help Delta to rise to a new level in our industry. Our commitment to our clients and outstanding customer service will continue to be our highest priority.
Courtney has been with Delta since 1996 and holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering with a minor in Communication Studies and an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Virginia Tech, as well as an M.B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University. She currently serves as Chair of the Airport Consultants Council (ACC); recently completed the ACEC Senior Executives Institute leadership training; currently serves as vice chair of the Virginia Tech College of Engineering Advisory Board; and is treasurer and board member for the Virginia Aeronautical Historical Society.
Spencer Waddell, Courtney’s husband, keeps her relatively sane and very entertained. They have three sons and their family enjoys traveling and spending time outdoors; skiing and kayaking are family favorites.
